Pet peeve time: for the contingent out there who sneer at heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman and Captain America, those icons who still, at their core, represent selfless sacrifice for the greater good, and who justify their contempt by saying, oh, it’s so unrealistic, no one would ever be so noble… grow up. Seriously. Cynicism is not maturity, do not mistake the one for the other. If you truly cannot accept a story where someone does the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, that says far more about who you are than these characters.

Walls
People build walls for all kinds of reasons. Mostly out of hurt to protect themselves. I get it. We all have them. Some much higher than others. I know some people tend o use these walls as a test. How high is a person willing to climb in order to break through, to make sure that they are worth it. But how high is too high? When do you stop climbing? When does the pain outweigh the effort?

Wishful thinking……
I wish I had a better understanding of how the world worked. How love happens. How time seems to pass so quickly and slowly all at the same time. I wonder if some Conductor was giving instructions that I missed while staring at the clouds out a window.
